Intro To The Art of Junk Journaling
INTRO TO THE ART OF JUNK JOURNALING
In this class we shall dip our toes into the art of Junk Journaling, this isn't an over the counter journal kit so each journal will be your own unique creation (the picture shown is just an example). In this short intro course we shall make a quick and easy journal cover, next we shall create a circa 60 page signature then sew completed signature into our cover, then the journal is ready to decorate and embellish in your chosen style.
Tools and Materials provided: Book binding kit
Curated papers pack including specialty and handmade/dyed papers and ephemera which we will turn into junk journal cover and signature
Tools available to use in class: there will 2 large scorer board to share but bringing your own is preferable.
Supplies needed: large scoring board, paper trimmer, sharp scissors, glue suitable for paper, bone folder, brown ink pad and dauber. Glue runner could be useful too.

Frames & Flowers layout & cards
We will make a 2 page scrapbook layout and 2 greeting cards using Stampin' Up's Frames & Flowers paper pack. Each crafter will get their own complete Frames & Flowers paper pack to use. There will be plenty of leftovers to make at least 6 more cards and possibly even another layout.

You will go through the steps to design a 2 page
scrapbook layout for 5-6 photos using Cricut Design Space.
You will learn how to make a multi word title with icon and
offset, and 2 frames using weld. You will NOT cut these
elements in class, this is only the instruction to design the
layouts. This class will instruct using these features:
image/text, offset, shapes, guides, contour, arrange, flip,
layers, color sync, slice
Supplies: Cricut Design Space and any device *Tablet, iPad
or laptop and please have your device charged with Design
Space loaded and logged in. You also may need your phone to
use as a hotspot if the wifi is unreliable.

In this further delve into the art of junk journals we shall make numerous embellishments for our junk journals, including embellished belly bands, tuck spots, pockets/tags, mini notebooks, journaling cards and more. Pictures are just some examples and attendees will create own colors/designs from paper/card/ephemera provided.
Supplies needed: liquid glue suitable for paper, glue runner, brown ink pad w dauber, sharp scissors and a paper trimmer.

You will go through the steps to make a birthday
card with pen writing as well as a journaling square for a
page layout. This class will instruct using these features:
card mat, pen, attach, writing, fonts and layers. A basic
knowledge of using the Cricut may be required.
Supplies: Cricut Design Space on any device, and your Cricut Joy if you want to make the cuts and try the pen. I will have a card mat and pens for people to try on their own machine but will demonstrate all the steps on mine.

In this further delve into the art of junk journals we shall make more additions for our junk journals, this class concentrates on snippets and clusters made both from fabric/silk/ribbon/lace/trims and card/paper as well as quick and easy dangle/adjournments.
Create as many of your own as you want from fabric/trim/paper choices avail, picture here is just many examples of what can be created. The clusters can also be used on other projects and are suitable for cards and toppers, smash books and much more.
Supplies needed: sharp scissors, liquid glue (fabric glue would also be useful but not essential).
